&lt;p&gt;This is indeed something very wrong. Given the fact that the urgency of acquiring cash is in order , getting the card after the money seems very wrong. We all know that banks have profit as a number one priority and this could be another method of being able to charge a customer for an additional bank procedure (retrieving the card). Another thought would be a bad seed in the bank's ATM software (this wouldn't be far from the truth since I have seen banks running Windows with a blue screen - specifically it was BoC in the Kaimakli area).&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt; Never the less it was really nice you could point it out since it can cause a lot of frustration and unnecessary hassle until you get back the card.&lt;/p&gt;
